Review #028 – Deliver At All Costs
Does it deliver the goods?

I wouldn’t go into Deliver At All Costs expecting a completely smooth time. It’s definitely a fun, rarely-dull gameplay experience, but it spends a little too much time developing its weirdly in-depth and outright unneeded plot.
It’s a head-scratching choice because not only is the story not particularly interesting, but it takes you away from the stupidly fun and hilarious gameplay scenarios way too often. It feels very oddly paced — I want to smash through buildings while delivering live fireworks or something, not listen to some old man prattle about some superfluous narrative exposition.
I think the camera is a little too close and probably could’ve used some adjusting, but it never gets old driving your car around the city causing just obscene amounts of chaos. It really should’ve had a similar cadence to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater or something similar though because the pace is way off.
