Review #024 – Spilled!

I had heard Spilled! was a brief experience but I booted my Steam Deck, installed the game, played the entire thing from start to finish, AND unlocked every achievement in only 45 minutes. You can’t even get out of Ordon Ranch in The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess in under an hour.

That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy my brief time with Spilled! because I found it to be pretty chill. Cleaning the sea of pollution while earning and spending money to buy ship upgrades is satisfying in a PowerWash Simulator kind of way. It introduces a couple of new mechanics as you play but nothing changes the moment-to-moment gameplay in any significant ways.

It’s far from being a no-brainer must-play, but it’s perfectly suited for a cozy afternoon on the Steam Deck. And for only six bucks you can’t really go wrong — I spend more money on way less interesting things all the time!
