Review #012 – Loddlenaut

Loddle-not bad.

Review #012 – Loddlenaut

Loddenaut's a chill way to spend 4-5 hours, especially if you’re into stuff like Power Wash Simulator. Your primary objective is to clean various ocean biomes from pollutants like plastics, metals, glass, etc., and you can recycle these objects at your home base and use their materials to upgrade your character’s suit or build new tools.

You’ll also find these cute little axolotl-adjacent critters called Loddles that you can pet, feed, and evolve into bigger creatures. It’s a nice little side mechanic but I honestly didn’t spend too much time with them as I found the cleaning to be a more satisfying gameplay mechanic.

It’s not a super complicated game and the map is pretty small, but cleaning the ocean and upgrading your character is decent loop that kept me somewhat entertained for the 4-ish hours it took me to finish it. I can’t say it really sank its teeth into me or anything, but it’s fine for what it is.
