Review #040 – Is This Seat Taken?
Take a look at this!
Is This Seat Taken? is a cute and relaxing logic-style puzzle game. It’s a relatively simple idea—every level will have a group of characters who all have one to three different demands that need fulfilled. To complete a level you need to position each person (or more accurately—each shape) somewhere in the scene where all of their criteria can be met simultaneously.
Requests will be stuff like, “I don’t want to sit beside someone who smells bad” or “I want to sit beside my parent”. The stages themselves can be a factor too, like having to sit characters with bad eyesight at the front of a movie theatre, or placing people by the window seat on a bus.
The game isn’t going to give you headaches but I had a great time trying to solve every stage without missing any requests. It’s essentially a gamified version of those classic logic puzzles from elementary school but extremely cute and well made. The art style and chill music are both particularly great, adding to the game’s easygoing, pleasant vibes.
